So Satguru pyara mere nal hai
jithe kithe menu lay chhadayi

tis gur ko haun vareya
jin har ki har katha sunayi

tis gur ko sad baliharne
jin har seva banat banayi

tis gur ko shabas he
jin har sojhi payi

nanak gur vitoh variya
jin har nam diya
mere man ki aas purayi


That Beloved True Guru is always with me
Wherever I may be, he will save me

I am a sacrifice to the Guru
Who recites the sermon of the Lord’s Teachings

I am forever a sacrifice to the Guru
Who has led me to serve the Lord

Most blessed is that Guru,
Who imparts understanding of the Lord

O Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru
Who has given me the Lord’s name
And fulfilled the desires of my mind
